December Snow
Most of our snow had melted. It was bare, the roads were clear, and I wasn’t having to drive everywhere being the only one with a 4 wheel drive rig at the house. Then it came. It started snowing around 1:00 and just didn’t stop. Huge amounts of snow was falling. I went and shoveled the driveway which had about 8 inches on it. This Sunday we went for a drive through the mountains and wineries outside of Leavenworth. The weather wasn’t too bad, but could have been better. The boys had a great time with their Aunt Mandi and her friend Jenn this weekend. They spent the day at Jenn’s Grandmother’s house on Saturday so I had the day to myself with Connor. We spent the Sunday at the Wings & Wheels festival which has a carnival, car show, food, and at the airport there are planes to look at at and you can go on a flight for $20 a person. Not a long flight, but it is fun. I took Casey and Caleb in the plane with me. This is the first time they both had been on a plane. Of course Caleb saw his friends houses and fish in the river. Casey really liked it and wasn’t scared one bit. He was smiling the whole time and wanted to go again. Well the fun has begun. The pool is open and we went and enjoyed it. It was actually very warm compared to last year. I wish they had a hot tub there though. Still it was a blast. Sunday we will probably be there again. As for tomorrow the kids can play in the pool in the front yard and ride bikes.

Lately we have been going on some bike rides after dinner. I finally got a bike for myself and a trailer to pull the baby and Casey. Really getting my exercise with two kids behind me. We still need to keep working on riding though. It will take a while for me to ever get back to how I used to ride back in the day. We have gone just about every day now along with walking 2 miles. The weather has been very pleasant lately and will only get better. Apple Blossom starts tomorrow so we will be spending even more time outside.
